We are excited to announce that SIX of DEEE members received President's Awards for Scientific Research published in 2019 and 2020.

Dr. Isuru Dasanayake visited the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore, India, as a Visiting Faculty member. He was granted the India Science and Research Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India.

For four consecutive years, two of our members, Prof. J.B. Ekanayake and Dr. H.A.S.A. Suraweera have been recognized as being among the top 2% of researchers worldwide. Their exceptional contributions to the field of Engineering in Sri Lanka have earned them the highest H-indexes. We celebrate their incredible achievement and are proud to have them as members of our organization.

We are excited to announce that projects from our department were showcased at the 2nd Peradeniya University Research Excellence Showcase [PURES2023].

DEEE students and staff demonstrated their commitment to excellence by presenting and publishing their Postgraduate and Undergraduate research works at the 17th IEEE International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems.

A two day Regional workshop on "Building capacity to improve Air Quality in South Asia" was successfully concluded by presenting milestones achieved by the consortium members throughout the span of the project.
