Society for Social Management Systems International Symposium Paper Award won by the paper based on the research by Ms. G.M.P.R. Weerakoon

The paper titled "An approach for Small Community Waste Water Management Using Constructed Wetlands" based on the research of Ms. G.M.P.R. Weerakoon won the Society for Social Management Systems International Symposium Paper Award. She received the award on 3rd May at an event held in Taiwan. The paper was co-authored by K.B.S.N. Jinadasa, R,Sasitharan and M.I.M. Mowjood.  
Students of Department of Computer Engineering for the Google Summer Code finals

Number of students of Department of Computer Engineering have been selected for the Google Summer Code finals in the department's maiden attempt this year.
The department representations won almost all the international competitions surpassing all other state universities and private institutions in the last few years. Last year, they won Motorola Enterprise Mobility software competition and represented Sri Lanka in Microsoft Imagine Cups world finals.
