University Student Charter

The University Student Charter details the partnership among the University Students, Academics, Administrative and Support Staff, as they work together to achieve the Mission of the University. This is only possible through the respectful interactions of all members of the University, fair student representation and active student participation in University life and community.

At present, Peradeniya has adapted the Student Charter provided by the UGC to all state universities. This outlines the broad principles on which universities are governed, and clarifies the experiences the students can expect from the university once they become students. It spells out the conditions of the partnership that shall exist between the university and its students. DEEE also advices the students, staff and all stakeholders to follow the guidlines given in the charter.
